Douglas Askman is an associate professor of history at Hawaii Pacific University. He has visited approximately 150 national, state, and provincial supreme courts in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific.

This second presentation was a continuation of the talk on the supreme courts of Europe, covering countries from L to Z. Askman looked at the architecture, decoration, and history of supreme court buildings and courtrooms. He also considered the structure and organization of the various European supreme courts and highlight similarities and differences with the American judicial system.
