This year, the Judiciary tasked Education Director Keahe Davis and Hawaiian Language Education Specialist Ahukini Fuertes with developing employee training on pronunciation, spelling, and overall awareness of Olelo Hawaii – Hawaiian language. The training provides both practice in Olelo Hawaii and contextual history of law pertaining to its use. To date, almost 500 Judiciary employees in the Appellate and First Circuit Court have undergone the course.
